Oh my! Talk about a bold winter wardrobe choice. This tree clearly didn't get the memo on modesty and decided that "botanical exhibitionist" was the trend of the season. It’s out here giving a whole new meaning to fruit-forward fashion, proving that if you’ve got the persimmons, you might as well flaunt them! :-)

the evolutionary tactic might be that the fruit, seeds and all, get eaten by the non-migratory birds. The seeds pass through the birds digestive system and get "deposited" as the bird flies around
